Guide

Everything about Pulse.

From your first macro to every setting. Read it top to bottom, or jump to the part you need.

Nothing in the guide matches that. Try another word, or ask in the Discord.

01

Getting started

Download, account, updates and where Pulse lives.

Download and open Pulse

Pulse is one file, Pulse.exe. There's nothing to install: download it from pulse21fs.com and double-click it. It works on Windows 10 and Windows 11 (64-bit).

Windows may say "Windows protected your PC" the first time. That's SmartScreen being careful with new apps. Click More info, then Run anyway. Only ever download Pulse from pulse21fs.com.

Some antivirus apps flag macro tools because they press keys for you. That's a false alarm: Pulse only sends normal keyboard and mouse input, the same way your own keyboard does.

Create your account

Pulse is in closed beta right now, so creating an account needs a free tester key. Keys are handed out in our Discord (in giveaways and the key channel). Each key works once.

  1. Open Pulse and pick the Create account tab.
  2. Choose a username and a password, and type the password twice.
  3. Add your email if you like. It's optional, but it's the only way to reset your password yourself if you forget it. No spam, never shared.
  4. Paste your license key (it looks like XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX) and press CREATE ACCOUNT.

Logging in

Keep Stay logged in on this PC ticked and next time Pulse shows a Continue as card with your name, so you're in with one click. Your login is stored encrypted on your PC.

  • Forgot your password? Click Forgot password? or go to pulse21fs.com/forgot-password. You'll get a reset link by email that works once, for 30 minutes.
  • No internet? If you were logged in before, Pulse still opens in offline mode and keeps working for a while.
  • Your account is tied to one PC. Moving to a new PC? Open a ticket in the Discord.

Updates

You never download updates yourself. Every time Pulse opens it checks for a new version and installs it, then restarts. While Pulse is open it also checks every 30 minutes and shows an UPDATE AVAILABLE card at the top right: press UPDATE & RESTART, or Later. See every change on the changelog.

The X button and the tray

Clicking X hides Pulse to the system tray (the little icons next to the clock). Your macros keep working while it's there. Click the tray icon to open Pulse again, or right-click it to Enable Macros, Disable Macros, or Quit Pulse. The – button just minimizes to the taskbar. Only one Pulse can run at a time: opening it again brings the running one to the front.

The quick tour

The first time you open Pulse, a short tour points at each part of the app and makes a sample macro with you. You can replay it any time from Settings → Tour & updates → Start tour.

02

The two safety switches

Learn these first. They're how you stay in control.

The master switch

On the Dashboard, the big switch in the MACRO ENGINE card turns all macros on or off. When it's off, a PAUSED tag shows in the title bar and nothing fires, even if you press a macro's key. Your macros and settings are safe; press RESUME MACROS to turn them back on. You can also flip it from the tray menu. Pulse always starts with macros on.

The emergency stop key

Press F8 at any time to stop everything at once: every macro, the auto clicker and anything from the Library. It also lets go of any key Pulse was holding down. It works even when macros are paused and when Pulse is in the tray. The red STOP ALL MACROS button on the Dashboard does the same.

You can change the emergency key in Settings → Emergency stop. Pick something you'll never press by accident, and that you can reach fast.
03

Your first macro

A macro is one key you press that makes Pulse press other keys for you.

Let's make a macro that spams E while you hold Mouse 5 (a side button on many mice).

  1. Open Macros in the sidebar and press + NEW MACRO. Give it a name, like "Spam E", and press Enter.
  2. Under START KEY, click the key box. It says "Press any key…". Press your side mouse button (Mouse 5). That's the key that starts the macro.
  3. Under HOW IT RUNS, pick Hold: it runs only while you hold the start key.
  4. Under ACTIONS, click + Add action and press E. That's what the macro presses.
  5. Set the wait after the step to 50 ms. That's the gap before the next press, so this spams E about 20 times a second.
  6. Go to your game and hold Mouse 5. Let go to stop. Done!
Everything saves and applies right away. There's no save button to forget.
04

Macros in depth

Start keys, the three modes, steps and timing.

Start keys

Any keyboard key or mouse button can start a macro: Left Click, Right Click, Middle Click, Mouse 4, Mouse 5, and even Wheel Up / Wheel Down. While binding, press Esc to cancel. Left and right Shift, Ctrl and Alt count as the same key. Use Clear key to unbind.

Two macros can't share a start key, and a macro can't use your emergency stop key.

How it runs: the three modes

HoldRuns while you hold the key and loops. Stops the moment you let go, even halfway through.
TogglePress once to start, it loops on its own. Press again to stop.
OncePlays all its steps one time for each press. Pressing again while it's playing does nothing.

A scroll wheel start key in Hold mode works like Once, since a wheel can't be "held".

Steps (actions)

Steps run from top to bottom. Click + Add action and press a key or mouse button to add one. Each step has:

  • The key: click it to change it.
  • Hold: how long the key stays pressed, in ms. 0 = a quick tap. Up to 10,000 ms (10 seconds).
  • Wait after: the pause before the next step, from 0 to 60,000 ms (1 minute).
  • Move up / Move down / Remove to reorder or delete it.

DEFAULT DELAY is the wait every new step starts with (10 ms on a new macro). The header shows how long one loop takes, so you can see your speed.

1 second = 1000 ms. A 50 ms wait means 20 presses a second; 100 ms means 10.

Speed and timing

Pulse keeps your timing steady: delays don't drift, and if Windows hiccups, Pulse picks the rhythm back up instead of firing a burst of catch-up presses. Each step takes at least 5 ms (up to 200 a second), or 1 ms with Turbo mode on (see Settings).

The "Check" badge

A yellow Check badge means a macro won't fire until you fix something. Hover it, or open the macro to see the "Heads up" box. Common reasons:

  • Not bound to a key yet: give it a start key.
  • Has no actions: add at least one step.
  • That key is the emergency stop key, or already used by another macro: pick a different one.

Managing macros

  • Each macro has its own on/off switch in the list. Turn one off without deleting it.
  • Duplicate copies a macro (the copy has no key, so it doesn't clash). Move up / Move down reorder the list.
  • Deleted one by mistake? Press UNDO in the message that pops up. You have about 8 seconds.
  • Each macro shows how often you've used it, like "Used 1,204× · 2h ago".
  • A profile can hold up to 50 macros. Names can be up to 30 characters.
05

Sharing macros

Send a macro to a friend, or get one from them.

Share codeShare ▾ → Copy share code copies a code that starts with PULSE1:. Paste it anywhere, like a Discord message.
.pulse fileShare ▾ → Save as file saves a small .pulse file you can send.

Importing

  1. On the Macros page press Import.
  2. Press Paste from clipboard (it even finds the code inside a whole Discord message), or Open file… for a .pulse file.
  3. Check the preview (name, key, steps) and press IMPORT MACRO. It's added to the profile you're using.
If the macro's start key is one you already use, it's added without a key so nothing clashes. Just pick a new one.
06

Profiles

A profile is a set of macros, like one per game.

Only the active profile's macros work. Click a profile's card on the Profiles page to switch to it. Each profile also has its own Auto Clicker setup.

  • + NEW PROFILE makes an empty one. Rename it in the active profile panel (names up to 40 characters, each one different).
  • Give each profile a color and an icon so you can tell them apart.
  • The key map shows every key in the profile and what it does, at a glance.
  • Duplicate copies a profile with all its macros. Delete asks first, and you can still undo it. You always keep at least one profile.
  • Open folder shows where Pulse keeps your files.

Switch profiles mid-game

Set a Profile switch hotkey in Settings → Overlay. Each press jumps to your next profile, and the on-screen overlay (if it's on) flashes the new profile's name.

07

Auto clicker

Steady, fast clicks on any mouse button.

  1. Open Auto Clicker and turn on the switch at the top. While it's off, its hotkey does nothing.
  2. Pick a speed: type the clicks per second (CPS), drag the slider, or use a quick pick like 10, 20, 50 or 100.
  3. Press the hotkey (F6 by default) in game to start and stop. Or press START: you get a 3 second countdown to move your mouse into place.

Options

OptionWhat it does
Hotkey & modeToggle: press to start, press again to stop. Hold: clicks only while you hold the hotkey. Any key or mouse button works, except your emergency key or a key a macro uses. F6 · Toggle

Random timingMakes each gap a little different (0 to 50%). 0 = perfectly even.
Game-safe speedIn games, clicks at most once per frame of your monitor (60, 144, 240…), because games can't read faster than that anyway. Websites and other apps get full speed. On

For most games, 20 to 100 CPS is the sweet spot. Going higher usually doesn't help because the game only reads clicks once per frame.
08

Dashboard

Everything at a glance.

  • Macro engine: the master switch, a heartbeat line that lights up and speeds up while a macro runs, and how many are running.
  • Active profile with a quick Switch →, and your emergency stop key with the STOP ALL MACROS button.
  • Your stats: inputs sent this week with a 7-day chart, today, all time and auto clicks. Reset clears them. Stats stay on your PC.
  • Top this week: the macros you used most.
  • A grid of your macros (click Edit → to open one) and a recent activity log of what Pulse did.

Account & Discord

Your role, badges, license and Discord link.

Badges

Badges show on your Account page: Beta Tester (every closed beta tester keeps it forever), Bug Hunter (for reporting real bugs), Supporter, and team badges for staff.

Earned badges

Pulse gives some badges by itself as you use it. You get a pop-up the moment one unlocks.

  • Making macros: First Macro, Macro Maker (10), Macro Architect (50).
  • Running macros: 1K, 10K and 100K runs.
  • Auto clicker: Click Machine (100K clicks) and Million Clicker.
  • Showing up: Regular (7 days), Dedicated (30 days), Veteran (100 days).
  • Community: Library Creator (a shared set got approved), Crowd Favorite (25 likes), Macro of the Week (your set got picked), Connected (Discord linked).

Each family keeps only its best tier, so 10K Runs replaces 1K Runs. Earned badges never go away.

Show off your badges

Pick up to 3 badges to show right under your name. In the Badges section press Pick badges, tap the ones you want in the order you want them, then Save. With a linked Discord, they show first on your /profile card too.

Link your Discord

  1. On the Account page press LINK DISCORD. You get a short code.
  2. In the Pulse Discord, type /link YOURCODE within 10 minutes.
  3. Pulse notices by itself and your roles show up. You can Unlink any time.

Password, license and PC

  • Change next to Password asks for your current password and a new one. Other PCs get logged out; this one stays in.
  • Your license shows as Lifetime or the days left. REDEEM A KEY adds days, or makes it lifetime.
  • Your email is shown hidden for privacy. To change it, ask in the Discord.

Supporting Pulse

Pulse is free. Supporters keep it going through Ko-fi, and get a supporter badge and glowing avatar ring, the 5 supporter themes, a spot on the Supporters wall in Credits, and a Discord role. Use the same email on Ko-fi as on your Pulse account so it unlocks by itself, then press I just supported, refresh.

Macro Library NEW

Make a macro in 30 seconds, build longer routines, or add sets other players shared.

The Library is in the sidebar. It has three tabs: Home, Make a macro and Community. The search box at the top looks through all of it at once: try a game, a key like E, or what you want it to do.

Home

  • Three big cards take you where you want to go. New here? Press Start here on Make a macro.
  • Your Library macros lists your Advanced builder routines with a live Running light.
  • Popular this week shows the Community sets players like most right now.

Make a macro: the easiest way

  1. Pick what it should do. They're sorted by what you want: Clicking, Keys & combos, Moving, Stay active (anti-AFK) and Abilities. Auto fish, Spam a key, Tool cycle, Strafe dodge, Anti-AFK and lots more.
  2. Fill in a few boxes: which key, how fast, and the game it's for. The preview on the right shows exactly what it will press, again and again.
  3. Pick the start key and how it starts (Hold, Toggle or Once), then press SAVE TO MY MACROS. It's now a normal macro on your Macros page.

"Recently made" lets you make another one like it later, with the same settings.

Advanced builder: for longer routines

Open it with the Advanced builder button in Make a macro. Snap blocks together, top to bottom: press, hold or spam a key, click, walk (record it), turn the camera, move the mouse to a spot, wait, or even wait for a color on screen. Start from scratch or open an example and press Add to my chains. Give it a hotkey, press Run once to test, then START. Set a Stop after timer as a safety net, and choose whether it repeats forever, once, or a number of times.

Share a routine with Copy chain code or as a .pulsechain file. Your hotkeys are never shared.

Community: no setup

  • Browse sets other players shared. The Pulse team checks every set first. Sort by Trending (most liked this week), New or Most used, or filter by game.
  • Macro of the Week: every Monday the set with the most likes over the past week gets the gold spot at the top of Community, a post in the Discord, and its maker gets the 🏆 badge.
  • Open a set to see every macro and its keys, untick what you don't want, and add it to your profile.
  • Press ♥ on sets you like. It helps good sets reach more players. You can't like your own.
  • Share yours takes three steps: pick up to 10 macros, give it a title and the game, then send it for checking. Troll sets get you blocked from sharing.
  • Your sets shows what the Pulse team said, with Fix & resubmit if something needs changing.
12

Fixing problems

The most common questions, answered.

My macro doesn't do anything
Check these in order:
  • Is the master switch on? A PAUSED tag in the title bar means macros are off.
  • Is it in your active profile, and is its own switch on?
  • Does it have a yellow Check badge? Open it and read the "Heads up" box.
  • Does the game run as administrator? Then Pulse needs to run as administrator too, or Windows blocks its input.
The game ignores some of my key presses
Some games miss very short taps. Give the step a Hold of 20 to 50 ms, or turn on Settings → Reliable taps for games. Very short waits (under about 16 ms) can also be faster than the game reads input.
A key feels stuck down
Press your emergency stop key (F8). It stops everything and lets go of every key Pulse was holding.
Auto clicker is slower than the number I set
That's Game-safe speed: in games Pulse clicks at most once per frame, because the game can't read more than that. Turn it off on the Auto Clicker page if you really want more, or use a higher refresh-rate monitor.
Windows or my antivirus warns about Pulse
That's normal for new apps and for tools that press keys. On the SmartScreen screen click More info → Run anyway. Only download Pulse from pulse21fs.com.
I forgot my password
Use Forgot password on the website, with the email on your account. No email on your account? Open a ticket in the Discord.
I got a new PC
Accounts are tied to one PC for safety. Open a ticket in the Discord and the team will move it for you.
Is the Pulse server down?
Check the live status page. Pulse keeps working offline for a while even if it is.
Where are my files?
Pulse keeps your macros, profiles and settings on your PC. On the Profiles page, Open folder takes you straight there.
13

Safe & fair use

What Pulse does, and what it never does.

  • Pulse only sends normal Windows keyboard and mouse input, exactly like you pressing keys. It never reads or changes other programs, never injects into games, and doesn't hide from anything.
  • Every key Pulse presses is released when it stops, when you quit, and even if Windows shuts down.
  • We only collect what's needed: your username, an optional email, and a hashed password. Discord stats are optional and you can delete them with one switch.
Some games don't allow macros. Check a game's rules before you use Pulse in it. You're responsible for how you use it.
